This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Hidden House Cash (“we”, “us”) collects when you use hiddenhousecash.com, why we collect it, and your rights. We keep it short and in plain language.

What we collect and why
When you browse the site
Our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. We need this to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you use the price checker
The items you price (item name, condition, age and extras) are processed in your browser to show your results. We don’t ask for your name or email to use the price checker.
When you ask us to email you your list
If you choose “Email me my list”, we collect your first name, email address and the items on your list. We save your list on our server and create a personal link (for example /my-list/k7f3q) so you can open it from your email. Anyone who has this link can see the list, so don’t share it if you’d rather keep it private. Your list contains only the items you entered, not your name or email.
We then send you the list and a short series of emails with selling tips and our offers. If you tick the box for the free 30-Day Challenge, you’ll also receive the daily challenge emails.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
When you buy a product
Purchases are handled by our reseller and payment provider, [Lemon Squeezy / Paddle], which acts as the “merchant of record”. They collect your name, email, billing country and payment details, process the payment, handle taxes and send you your receipt and download links. They process this data under their own privacy policy: [link]. We never see your full card details.
They tell us that you made a purchase (your name, email and the product), so we can deliver the product, send you customer emails and stop sending you sales emails for something you already own. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
When you contact us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your question (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies and embedded videos
We use only the cookies needed to run the site, unless you agree to more in our cookie banner. Our guides include YouTube videos. These load only after you click to play and accept YouTube cookies, because YouTube (Google) may then set cookies and collect data about your viewing. You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under data processing agreements:

We never sell your personal data, and we don’t share it for advertising.
Transfers outside the EU
Some providers are based in, or use servers in, the USA or the UK. In those cases, your data is protected by an adequacy decision (such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the UK adequacy decision) or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe. If you don’t open our emails for about 4 months, we remove you from our list.
- Saved lists: deleted 12 months after you last opened or updated them.
- Purchase records: kept for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.
- Contact emails: deleted once your question is resolved, unless we need them for a legal reason.
- Server logs: kept for a short period by our hosting provider for security.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct inaccurate data
- have your data deleted
- restrict or object to processing
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing
To use any of these rights, email privacy@hiddenhousecash.com. We’ll reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the Netherlands, that’s the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl). You can also contact the authority in the EU country where you live.
Visitors from the United States
We don’t sell or share personal information as defined by California and other US state privacy laws. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser. California residents and residents of other states with privacy laws can use the rights described above by emailing privacy@hiddenhousecash.com.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our site or services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
